People already ask you. Now they can book you.

Yes. Learners can only book the slots you open, so you choose the hours each week. You can add date exceptions for busy weeks, keep a buffer between sessions, and connect Google Calendar with two-way sync so busy times there block those hours on Askobo.

Sign up with your name, email, a password and a phone number, or with your Google account and a phone number; email sign-ups confirm their email first. Then complete a six-step profile: an optional resume upload that pre-fills most of it, about you, skills and languages, experience and education, weekly availability and your first service. You can stop and come back: your progress is saved as a draft, and your dashboard opens when setup is done.

Nothing. There’s no sign-up or monthly fee on the standard plan. Askobo keeps a platform commission, currently 20% of your price on the standard plan, only when you make a sale, and the same rate applies whether the learner found you on Askobo or through your own link. GST and the payment processing fee are added to the learner’s total at checkout, so they don’t come out of your earnings. When a learner uses an Askobo coupon, Askobo pays for the discount and you still earn on your full price.

Learners pay online through Razorpay before the session, and each one gets an invoice by email automatically. The sale shows in your earnings straight away as pending, with the reason it’s held and when the hold ends. It becomes available to withdraw once the work is delivered, the learner’s refund window under your policy has closed and the payment has reached Askobo. For a live session the window closes 24 hours after it ends, or 72 hours under a Money-back Guarantee. Courses and products are released when the window you picked ends: straight away, or after 7 or 30 days.

Add an Indian bank account with its IFSC. The Askobo team verifies it, and payouts to it can start 24 hours after it’s verified. Account numbers are stored encrypted and shown masked. Then request a payout from your Earnings page: each request takes your whole available balance, the minimum is ₹100, and one request can be open at a time. The team reviews it and makes the bank transfer, and you’re notified when it’s approved, paid, rejected or fails. You can cancel a request while it’s pending. Any tax deduction is shown on the payout screen before you withdraw.

The refund policy you chose for that offering decides, and each sale keeps the terms it was sold under. If a learner is refunded, your earning shrinks only by the refunded share, and no commission is charged on that part. If you’ve already been paid, the refunded amount comes off your next payout; nothing is taken from your bank account. While a refund request or dispute is open on a sale, its earning is held until it’s resolved.

On Askobo video, attendance is read from the call, not from either side’s word. If you waited 15 minutes from the start and the learner never joined, it counts as their no-show and isn’t refunded. If you didn’t join in time, the learner is refunded in full. Zoom doesn’t report attendance to Askobo, so those cases are reviewed by the Askobo team.

No. A 1:1 session can be a voice call instead of video, and courses and digital products don’t need you live at all; group sessions are video only. Meetings run in your browser with nothing to install, with screen sharing and a whiteboard. If you prefer, connect your own Zoom account: the meeting is created there and only you get the host link.

Yes. They can send a custom request from your profile with their topic, preferred time, length, format and budget. Accept it, decline it or send a counter-offer on price and time. It becomes a booking only when you agree, and the learner pays before the session.

Your public profile lists your background, every offering with its price, and reviews, which only learners who booked you can leave, and you can reply to them. Your profile can appear when learners browse experts on Askobo, and it has a link you can share with the people who already ask you for advice. The commission is the same either way.
