Welcome to Askobo! These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") outline how you can access and use our platform, including our websites, mobile experiences, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Askobo is operated by ASKOBO TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED.

When we say "You" or "User," we mean anyone who uses our Services—whether you're a "Seeker" looking for guidance and learning opportunities, or an "Expert" sharing your knowledge through consultations, courses, products, webinars, or subscriptions.

By using Askobo, you're agreeing to these Terms. We encourage you to read them carefully. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Think of Askobo as a bridge that connects talented Experts with eager Seekers. We provide the technology and tools that make it easy for Experts to share their knowledge through consultations, courses, digital products, webinars, and community spaces.

Here's how our role works:

• We're the platform, not the provider: When you book a session or purchase a course, your agreement is directly with the Expert. We facilitate the connection and handle the technical side of things.
• Experts bring their own expertise: Each Expert is responsible for the quality and accuracy of their content. While we strive to maintain high standards on our platform, the knowledge and advice come directly from the Experts themselves.
• Policies are set by Experts: Refund policies, licensing terms, and access durations for courses and products are determined by individual Experts. We encourage all Experts to clearly communicate their policies, and we're here to help facilitate any discussions.

Our Experts offer a wide range of services including one-on-one consultations, group sessions, comprehensive courses, digital products, live and recorded webinars, and vibrant community spaces.

We'd love to have you on Askobo! Here's what you need to know:

• Seekers: Anyone can join as a Seeker to explore and learn from our amazing Experts.
• Experts: To offer services on Askobo, you need to be at least 18 years old.
• It's free to join: Creating an account costs nothing for both Seekers and Experts.
• Keep your account safe: Please use accurate information when signing up, and remember that you're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

Askobo is designed to make learning and sharing knowledge seamless. Here's what our platform offers:

• Connect and learn: Book one-on-one sessions, join group calls, attend webinars, enroll in courses, purchase digital products, and become part of Expert-led communities.
• Helpful tools: We provide discovery features, easy booking and scheduling, messaging, video calls, and secure payment processing.
• A safe environment: To maintain a positive experience for everyone, we may occasionally review content to ensure our community guidelines are being followed and to address any concerns.

We've designed our payment system to be transparent and straightforward. Here's everything you need to know:

For Seekers: Making Payments

• All payments are processed securely through Razorpay, a trusted payment gateway.
• A small platform fee of 2.5% is added to help us cover payment processing costs and maintain our services. This fee helps keep the platform running smoothly for everyone.
• Applicable taxes (like GST) are collected as required by law.

For Experts: Receiving Your Earnings

• Platform Commission: Askobo charges a platform commission to support our services and infrastructure:
  • Founding Experts: 10% commission on all earnings
  • Regular Experts: 20% commission on all earnings
• Payment Release: Your earnings are released only after your meeting or session is marked as completed—this ensures a smooth experience for everyone involved and maintains quality standards.
• To receive your payment, simply raise a payout request through your dashboard. It's quick and easy!
• We typically process payouts within 24–48 hours. Sometimes it might take a bit longer due to weekends, holidays, or if we need to verify something, but we always aim to be as quick as possible.
• In rare cases involving disputes or concerns, we may need to hold payments temporarily while we work things out. We'll always communicate with you if this happens.

Your Information is Safe

• Our team may access Expert bank details solely to process your payouts—nothing more. Your financial information is protected with industry-standard encryption.
• We never share your bank details with anyone except as needed for payment processing.

Tax Responsibilities

• Experts are responsible for handling their own tax obligations, including GST and income tax. We recommend consulting with a tax professional if you have questions.
• Where required by law, we may deduct TDS or other applicable taxes from payouts.

We understand that plans can change. Here's how cancellations and refunds work on Askobo:

The Basics

• Expert-Defined Policies: Each Expert sets their own cancellation and refund policy. Seekers must read and understand the Expert's cancellation policy before booking or registering, as we strictly follow the policies set by individual Experts. Askobo does not create or control these policies—we simply facilitate their implementation.
• The 2.5% platform fee covers payment processing costs and isn't refundable, as these costs are incurred at the time of payment.
• GST refunds depend on government regulations and may not always be possible—we'll do our best to help where we can.

For Sessions & Consultations

• Refund eligibility depends on the Expert's cancellation window and their stated policy.
• If a session doesn't happen due to Expert unavailability or a technical issue on our end, we'll work with you to arrange a reschedule or refund.

For Courses & Digital Products

• Refund eligibility is based on the Expert's policy, which is displayed on the product page.
• Since digital content can be accessed immediately, some products may not be refundable once you've started using them. Please check the policy before purchasing.

For Webinars

• Live webinars: Refunds are typically available if the Expert cancels the event.
• Recorded webinars: Usually non-refundable once you have access, unless the Expert's policy says otherwise.

How We Can Help

• We're happy to help facilitate conversations between Seekers and Experts regarding refund requests.
• While refund decisions ultimately rest with the Expert based on their policy, if there's a dispute, our team can step in to help find a fair resolution.

Our Experts are the heart of Askobo, and we're grateful for everything you contribute. To ensure a great experience for everyone, here are some guidelines we ask you to follow:

• Be accurate and authentic: Please ensure your content, courses, and advice are accurate and reflect your genuine expertise.
• Deliver what you promise: Honor your commitments by delivering services as described and on time.
• Be clear about policies: Setting clear refund and cancellation policies helps set expectations and builds trust with your Seekers.
• Define license terms: For digital products and courses, please specify how your content can be used (personal use, commercial use, etc.).
• Stay compliant: Make sure you're following all applicable laws, including tax regulations and consumer protection rules.
• Keep it appropriate: Please don't offer content that's illegal, harmful, or misleading.

Here's what you should know about digital content on Askobo:

Using Digital Products

• Unless an Expert specifies otherwise, digital products and courses are meant for your personal learning journey.
• Please don't redistribute, resell, or share purchased content without permission from the Expert—this protects their hard work and creativity.
• Each Expert may have specific terms for their products, which you can find on their pages.

Course Access

• Access duration for courses is set by each Expert—some offer lifetime access, others have time limits. This will be clearly stated when you purchase.

Webinars

• Live webinars happen at scheduled times. Replays may or may not be available depending on the Expert's preferences.
• Please don't record or redistribute webinars without permission—respect the Expert's content.

Communities on Askobo are wonderful spaces to connect, learn, and grow together:

• Each Expert manages their own community and sets the tone for discussions and content.
• We support a respectful environment across all communities. If something violates our platform guidelines, we may step in.

About Subscriptions

• Some subscriptions may renew automatically. You can manage your preferences and cancel future renewals anytime from your dashboard.
• Refunds for partial subscription periods depend on the Expert's policy—check the details before subscribing.

We take intellectual property seriously because it protects the valuable work of our Experts:

• Expert ownership: Experts retain full ownership of their content, courses, materials, and recordings.
• Your license to learn: When you purchase content, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own learning. Sharing, reselling, or redistributing isn't permitted unless the Expert explicitly allows it.
• Platform safety: To keep Askobo safe and trustworthy, we may occasionally review content for policy compliance and to resolve any disputes.

Askobo thrives when everyone treats each other with respect. Please:

• Be kind and professional in all interactions.
• Don't spam, scam, or solicit business outside of agreed sessions.
• Respect others' privacy and don't share sensitive personal information.
• Honor intellectual property rights—don't use others' work without permission.
• Get consent before recording sessions, webinars, or other content, and follow applicable laws.

Askobo integrates with trusted third-party services like Razorpay for payments and video providers for calls. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. While we carefully choose our partners, we recommend reviewing their policies as well.

We want to be transparent about what Askobo provides:

• Experts are independent professionals who share their own knowledge and advice. Askobo doesn't endorse or guarantee specific outcomes.
• While we work hard to provide a reliable platform, we can't guarantee that everything will always work perfectly. We're constantly improving!
• Decisions you make based on Expert advice are your own. We encourage you to use your best judgment and seek additional professional opinions when needed.

While we strive to provide an excellent experience, there are some limits to what we can be responsible for:

• We can't be held responsible for the actions, advice, or service quality of individual Experts.
• Our total liability is limited to the platform fees you've paid us in the past 6 months, or INR 10,000, whichever is greater.

We know this might sound formal, but it's a standard practice that helps us continue providing our services to everyone.

By using Askobo, you agree to help protect us from any claims that arise from your use of the platform, your content, or any violation of these Terms. This mutual protection helps us maintain a healthy ecosystem for everyone.

We hope it never comes to this, but:

• We may need to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our guidelines or engage in harmful behavior.
• During investigations or disputes, we may temporarily hold payouts to protect all parties.
• You can stop using Askobo anytime. Some obligations (like intellectual property rights and any pending refunds) continue even after you leave.

We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we'll let you know. Continuing to use Askobo after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If any disagreement arises, we'll first try to resolve it together amicably. If that doesn't work within 30 days, the matter may be referred to arbitration in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, under Indian arbitration laws.

• Complete agreement: These Terms, along with our other policies, represent our full agreement with you.
• Severability: If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
• Assignment: You can't transfer your account to someone else without our consent, but we may transfer our rights in case of a business change.
