- On askobo.com a banner asks you first. Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and PostHog load only if you choose Accept all. Change your choice with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page.
- App users
- By creating an account or using app.askobo.com you agree to this policy. The app uses PostHog and the Meta Pixel and does not show a separate banner.
- Settings > Privacy
- The switches in Settings > Privacy control only Askobo’s own analytics events. They do not switch off Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel or PostHog.
- How to opt out
- Block third-party cookies in your browser, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and change your ad settings at Meta. Details are in section 8.
Your cookie choice
In short: Website visitors choose in the banner. App users agree to this policy when they sign up or use the app.
- Visitors to askobo.com. On your first visit a banner offers Accept all or Reject all. Until you choose Accept all, Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and PostHog do not load. Necessary cookies (sign-in, security) are always on. We save your choice in your browser, and you can change it any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the page.
- Users of the Askobo app (app.askobo.com). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to this cookie policy, as set out in our Terms of use. The app uses the necessary cookies plus PostHog and the Meta Pixel, and does not show a separate banner. Section 8 explains how you can limit them.
- What the Privacy switches do. Signed-in users can switch Personalisation, AI processing, Analytics and Marketing on and off in Settings > Privacy. Analytics is on by default and the others are off. These switches control Askobo's own analytics events only. They do not switch off Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel or PostHog.
Section 8 explains how you can block these tools yourself.
Strictly necessary cookies
In short: These keep you signed in and the site secure. The site does not work without them.

On the askobo.com website, an older sign-in path also writes access_token, refresh_token and user (your basic profile) as cookies that the page can read, each lasting 1 day. They serve the same sign-in purpose.
Preference and attribution cookies
In short: These remember how you reached Askobo, which expert link or referral you used, and your settings.

Your interface preferences, such as sidebar state and meeting camera and microphone choices, are kept in browser storage (see section 6), not in cookies.
Analytics and advertising measurement cookies
In short: These count visits and sign-ups. They load today without a consent step.

Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel can link what they see to your activity on other sites. Section 8 shows how to block them.
Browser storage (local storage, session storage, IndexedDB)
In short: We also keep data in your browser storage, which is not a cookie but works in a similar way.

Clearing your browser data removes these items. You will be signed out, and an unsynced offline note can be lost.

How to control cookies
In short: Use the cookie banner on askobo.com, your browser, the opt-out tools below, or Settings > Privacy when you are signed in.
- Cookie settings. On askobo.com, use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Choosing Reject all reloads the page without Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and PostHog.
- Browser settings. Every major browser lets you delete cookies and block them for all sites or only for some. Blocking strictly necessary cookies stops you from signing in.
- Block third-party cookies. Turn this on in your browser's privacy settings to stop Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and similar tools from setting their cookies.
- Google Analytics. Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Meta. Change the ads you see and how Meta uses your activity in your Meta ad preferences, in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
- Askobo analytics. When you are signed in, go to Settings > Privacy and switch Analytics off. This stops Askobo's own analytics events only.
Do Not Track
We do not respond to Do Not Track signals today. Third-party analytics and advertising tools on our site may collect data across sites.
Changes to this policy
In short: We update this page when our cookies change, and we email you before a material change.
We update this page when we add or remove a cookie or tool. The date and version are at the top. For a material change we email you and show a notice in the app at least 15 days before it takes effect, as set out in the privacy policy.
